• NRA Certification Courses NRA Certification Classes will be offered through the Lawrence Rod & Gun Club for firearm certification.  Classes are generally offered on the last Saturday of the month. These classes are open to the public for $90.00. Upon successful completion of the course, participants who wish to join Lawrence Rod & Gun Club will have the club initiation fee ($50) waived.  For further information or to speak with an instructor leave your name and number at (978) 687-9504 Ext 3 or send email to gunclub@earthlink.net and they will be sure to get back to you.  The next class is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, February 25th, starting at 8:00 AM, if you would like to pre-register just send your name, phone number, and email address to gunclub@earthlink.net and you will be put on the roster and sent a reminder two days before the class.

The Basic Hunter Education Course is mandatory for first-time hunters or hunting license buyers in Massachusetts.  This course is scheduled for March 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22nd from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM and will be hosted by the Methuen Rod and Gun Club.  Please note - students must attend ALL dates listed.  Enrollment is now open call the Hunter Education office at (978) 772-0693 to register.

The Black Powder Education Course is one of several "advanced" courses offered by the Hunter Education Program.  Courses are free of charge. Courses include a minimum of 10 hours classroom instruction plus field work. Topics cover the selection of hunting equipment, state laws, the safe handling of muzzleloaders and powder storage.  This course is scheduled for March 27, 29, April 4, and 5th from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM and will be hosted at the Methuen Rod and Gun Club.  Please note - students must attend ALL dates listed. • Pin Shoot - Weather permitting matches are held the 3rd Saturday of every month.  The next scheduled shoot is February 18^th at 10:00 AM on the Outdoor Range.  For any questions please contact Art Mell for details.
