• NRA Certification Courses NRA Certification Classes will be offered through the Lawrence Rod & Gun Club for firearm certification.  Classes are generally offered on the last Saturday of the month. These classes are open to the public for $90.00. Upon successful completion of the course, participants who wish to join Lawrence Rod & Gun Club will have the club initiation fee ($50) waived.  Contact Bob Kennedy at (978) 685-4293 or e-mail him at breakinbirds@comcast.net for further information.   The next scheduled course is Saturday, March 27^th starting at 8:00 AM.

• MassWildlife Hunter Safety Courses - Hunter Safety Courses are held periodically.  Adults and young adults 15 years and older receive a Certificate of Completion and students between the ages of 10 and 14 years receive a "Letter of Completion" to meet out-of-state and MA requirements.  Contact Bob Kennedy at (978) 685-4293 or e-mail him at breakinbirds@comcast.net.  To see Class photos click here Hunter Safety Class Pictures.

Basic Hunter Safety, Hosted by Methuen Rod and Gun Club - The Basic Hunter Education Course is mandatory for first-time hunters or hunting license buyers in Massachusetts.  All courses are sponsored by the state of Massachusetts and are free of charge.  The class will be held at the Methuen Rod and Gun club house and run for six nights from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on the following dates: March 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, and 19.  For a detail course description click here.

Black Powder Education, Hosted by Methuen Rod and Gun Club - The Basic Powder Education Course is an advanced course offered free of charge  by the Hunter Education Program and a requirement if you wish to hunt in the state of Massachusetts with a primitive firearm.  The class will be held in the Methuen Rod and Gun club house and run for four nights from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on the following dates: March 31, April 2, 7, and 9.  For a detail course description click here.
